10 Baking Soda Beauty Tips
Every now and then The List Maven likes to present you with a list of fun and thrifty beauty and style tips that are DIY and safe for the environment. I know. I’m a giver. We talked about the different ways we can use vinegar in our beauty regime, but did you know there were ways you can use baking soda as well? Check it out.
10 Baking Soda Beauty Tips
- Make bath oils.
- Mix baking soda with peroxide to whiten teeth.
- Fill a basin with warn water and add half a cup of baking soda. Use to soften and soothe tired feet.
- Use to make bath salt.
- Add to your bath to soften and neutralize acids and sweat in the water.
- Mix baking soda with your face soap to make a scrub.
- Mix a quart of water with five tablespoons of baking soda and soak a towel to make a compress for soothing sunburns.
- Mix a teaspoon of baking soda with the normal amount of shampoo you use to wash away residues caused by hair products.
- Fill your sink with warm water and add three to five tablespoons of baking soda. Soak your hair brushes and combs to remove hair product residue.
- Make a paste of baking soda and water and use to exfoliate elbows, feet and other dry areas.

I absolutely love baking soda. I’ve used it in my hair with great success. I have very fine hair, so build-up can have a huge impact on the way it behaves.
