3 Things I’ve Learned as a Beauty Blogger
I’ve always loved makeup and clothes, so when I was asked to blog for the Beauty & Style channel I jumped at the opportunity. Offering tips and product reviews is a blast and it’s even become a learning process. I’d like to share some of the things I’ve learned as a beauty blogger.
- Sometimes you have to pay a little extra for a good thing - I always bought whatever brand makeup and moisturizer was on sale at the supermarket, and most of these products are adequate. While I’m all about saving money I do notice many of the higher end brands are better products and sometimes you really do get what you pay for. This is especially true with skin care and hair care lines. Some of the products reviewed here I went out and bought again after I ran out because they were so great.
- Beauty is more than eye shadow and lipstick - Beauty is also pampered feet, soft skin and a perfect manicure. It’s amazing how wonderful you feel about yourself when you take some time to pamper.
- Don’t be afraid to experiment - My choices have always been safe. I choose colors and styles that aren’t too outlandish because I’ve also been afraid of looking clownish or drawing too much attention to myself. As a person who reviews different products, I’ve had to try things that aren’t necessarily “me” to give a fair assessment and I’ve been pleasantly surprised. Colors I never thought would work, work perfectly. Don’t be afraid to stray from your normal routine or palette, you may be pleasantly surprised.
