3 Tips for Cleaning Your Mascara Brush

A mascara is only as good as its brush. If you have a dirty, clump brush, you’ll have clumpy uneven eyelashes. Here are a couple of tips for caring for your mascara brush:

1. Never use water to clean the brush because this will dilute the mascara. Every week or so, wipe the brush thoroughly with a tissue to remove dried on gunk.
2. Don’t pump your mascara brush in and out of the tube. This brings in harmful bacteria and spreads it around causing eye infections.
3. If you need to wash your brushes, use an eye makeup cleaner and dry thoroughly before returning to the tube.
