6 Eyeliner Application Tips
|
Are you like me? Do you stab yourself in the eye when using an eyeliner pencil? Do you get the liner everywhere but where it’s supposed to? Oh yes. I’ve been there before. That’s why I looked up a few eyeliner application tips. I hope they help you too.
- Always use a sharp pencil, this gives you more accuracy.
- To make the liner look more natural and less like a drawn on line, give it a bit of a smudge. Sharpening a pencil often also lessons the chance of the liner harboring bacteria.
- If you’re sitting at a makeup table, rest your elbow on the table and your pinky on your cheek as you’re linking your eye. This will give you some stability.
- For a more bold liner, light a match and run the pencil through. Let it cool for a few seconds and line your eye.
- For a more accurate line, half close your eyes and use your free hand to pull your lid taut.
- Use a light hand. Unless of course you like a heavy goth look.

Um..I am a little embarrassed to say I’m so glad you posted this. Having worn glasses my entire life, I never really learned to wear eye makeup of any type - I figured it didn’t look good behind the glasses. Anyway, eventually I realized eye makeup could look good with glasses, and since then I’ve been experimenting with ways to apply it. Thanks for the post!
