Microplane Foot File + Microplane Foot Buffer = 2 Very Smooth Feet
Remember when I told you about the PedEgg? I likened it to a cheese grater for the feet. I realize that’s not a very good analogy and the PedEgg people were probably cringing, but it’s the best visual I think. The Microplane Foot File and Foot Buffer also have that foot grater feel. I don’t mean that in a bad way, either, i really don’t know how else to describe it.
The Microplane Foot File is much more elegant than the PedEgg. It’s on a long brush-like, faux tortoiseshell handle and does resemble a cheese grater on a stick. Again, I mean that in a most affectionate manner. By rubbing the foot file along the dry skin on your feet, much like you grate cheese, you remove the dead skin. It works very well too. I use it once or twice a week and my dry calloused feet are looking much more ladylike. My husband isn’t joking about using the bottoms of my feet to sand boards, either.Follow up with the Microplane Foot Buffer for a smooth, soft feel.
I do have a nit to pick. Put a towel down when grating your feet of you’re going to have skin bits all over. And I mean all over. I didn’t even think about it, stood up and it snowed. Foot bits all over the carpet and dog. Thankfully he didn’t feel a thing. As my feet were very dry at the time, I did have to take out the vacuum. Still, it doesn’t take much effort to lay a towel on your lap while grating or buffing.
